Rize Jewellery

Right from the start we made a promise to ourselves that we would only work with fairtrade jewellery artisans. We knew we did not want to contribute to the poor pay, poor working conditions, but high business profit ethos that many large jewellery companies gravitate towards. Instead we wanted to form good working relationships with the people that make Rize jewellery and directly benefit them financially. We also wanted to provide you with total transparency in regards to where your jewellery comes from.

All of our jewellery has been handcrafted in Jaipur, India by incredibly skilled artisans. Each artisan specialises in specific jewellery techniques.  We are incredibly proud to work with these marginalised communities and pay fairly for the jewellery they produce for us.  The funds they receive also help provide food, health care and education for the children within the artisans community.

We also donate 10% of each sale to our partnered children's charities in Bangalore, India.  You can read more about this here.

As well as being an ethical company, we are also committed to being a sustainable company. We use 100% recycled sterling silver in all our jewellery and 90% recycled packaging including FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) mailing boxes, recycled luxury jewellery boxes and plastic free cotton jewellery pouches.

Rize Vintage Jewellery

Our vintage jewellery has been hand sourced by our very own hands in Jaipur, India.  Each piece is around 60 years old and is unique, no two pieces are the same.
After being selected, jewellery is then taken to our gold plater, also in Jaipur, who plates each and every item in a hefty 2.5 microns of 18k gold (5 times thicker than most gold plating).

As our pendants are vintage, the silver purity varies from 83% to over 92.5% and is hallmarked accordingly. We also have all our jewellery tested to confirm that no harmful metals like nickel and cadmium are contained within the jewellery.  This testing conforms to European jewellery testing standards.

We hope you enjoy wearing your unique jewellery that gives back to others!

Hallmarking

All our jewellery is tested in both India at the point of creation and in Cyprus (where we are based). All jewellery is hallmarked by the Cyprus Assay Office. This hallmarking guarantees the quality of your jewellery as having a base of good quality silver.
